2024 Wrist Study Report

Thanks to you, I've been able to delve deeper into the world of "wrist research," where there are no existing examples, alongside our customers. Thank you very much; I am truly grateful.

 

 

By touching, creating, and fine-tuning countless wrists, I have learned about the "inner curve" down to the millimeter. The characteristic of wrist research is the curve that adds comfort to the relationships between bones, tendons, and muscles.

 

 

What is comfort? Just like choosing clothes or sneakers, some people prefer a snug, perfect fit, while others prefer a looser fit. There are differences in the "sensations" that each person finds comfortable. Sensations are difficult to quantify. I believe both are correct!

 

  

Let me introduce three typical inner curves. In reality, there are many more variations. Let's take a look together.

Statistics > approx. 95% (This is me)

・Asymmetrical

(due to the abductor pollicis longus tendon and

extensor pollicis brevis tendon connected to the thumb)

・Left-right variation and angle differ for each person

・There are no identical sizes or curves

・Thickness ranges from sleek to substantial

・The top part can be flat or rounded

・The ulnar styloid process may or may not protrude

(This is the bone at the wrist, like an ankle bone)

・Wrist sizes are often in the range of 12cm to 17cm

・Sleek and flat in thickness

・The top part is rather flat

・Only slight left-right variation

・Prominent ulnar styloid process

・Wrist sizes are often between 15cm and 16cm

 

 

Statistics > approx. 2%

・Thick

・Abductor pollicis longus tendon barely visible

・Extensor pollicis brevis tendon also barely visible

・Rounded at the top

・Only slight left-right variation

・Ulnar styloid process not very prominent

・Solid bone structure

・Wrist sizes are often 18cm or more
