Wrist Research:Findings
Thanks to the many customers I have worked with over the years, I have continued to develop my Wrist Research without an existing model to follow. Through years of making, fitting and refining for each individual wrist, I have pursued a sense of comfort that cannot be defined by measurements alone.
At the heart of this research is the inner curve. By observing bone structure, tendons and muscles, I refine each shape in 1mm increments to create a curve that follows the wrist’s natural contours.
Comfort is different for everyone
Just as with clothes and shoes, some prefer a closer fit, while others prefer more ease. Jewellery is no different. This is why I consider not only measurements, but how each piece actually feels to the wearer.
There's a reason behind every inner curve
Here are three representative inner curves from this research. Each is designed for a different bone structure and sense of fit, with many more variations born from the same process.

Statistics ▶︎Approx. 95% (this is my type)
・Asymmetrical, as the abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis tendons are visible
・The degree and angle of asymmetry vary from person to person
・No two wrists have exactly the same size or curve
・Thickness ranges from slim to substantial
・The top may be flatter or more rounded
・The ulnar styloid process may or may not be prominent
・Wrist size typically ranges from 12cm to 17cm

Statistics ▶︎Approx. 3%
・Slim, with a flatter profile
・The top tends to be flatter
・Minimal asymmetry
・The ulnar styloid process tends to be prominent
・Wrist size typically ranges from 15cm to 16cm

Statistics ▶︎Approx. 2%
・Substantial thickness
・The abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis tendons are barely visible
・Rounded at the top
・Minimal asymmetry
・The ulnar styloid process is not very prominent
・A solid, sturdy bone structure
・Wrist size is typically 18cm or larger
:“Gentle and so comfortable to wear!”
“Strangely, I forget I'm even wearing it...”
“I don't even notice it while doing housework...”
“For the first time, I've come to love my own hands.”
“My wrist and fingers look so much more beautiful... it's strange.”
“I ordered it knowing I’d still love it 20 years from now.”
