Notes:
① Pearls, opals, coral ▶︎ Wipe with a clean cloth.
② Diamonds ▶︎ The only stone that attracts soap scum. ▶︎ Soak in lukewarm water ▶︎ for about 3 minutes with a few drops of dish soap ▶︎ scrub with a toothbrush ▶︎ My wife also does this once a month. The shine will return as if new.
③ Over 90% of global production is plated ▶︎ Wipe with a clean cloth. If the plating is scratched, washing it by hand can cause corrosion.
④ Chlorine bleach (sodium hypochlorite), which is a cheap substitute for alcohol disinfectant (ethanol), is NG. It can cause blackening due to chlorine. Always use real ethanol (alcohol content of approximately 70% or more). If you are unsure, remove your accessories.
⑤ Gold, platinum, and silver materials can be hand-washed.
Add a little water to baking soda to make a paste, then rub it gently. As the oil starts to come off, the baking soda will gradually turn gray...

Rinse with lukewarm water. The shine will return astonishingly. This was an easy and inexpensive method.
