  • ① Characteristics of bones, tendons, and muscles

    Just as every face is different, no two wrists share the same bone structure or shape. The position of the bones, tendons, and muscles means the cross-section and contact points of each wrist are unique. We identify these differences and adjust the fit in 1mm increments.

  • ② Thickness

    Thin or thick? There's a significant difference. In that case, adjust the bangle's opening.
    For people with thin wrists ▷ the opening should be narrower. For people with thick wrists ▷ the opening should be wider. We adjust it by 1mm to 8mm.

  • ③ Curves of the thumb and pinky sides

    For those with a round wrist side, we make it round. For those with a wrist side that is close to a right angle, we make it closer to a right angle. For those with a sharp underside of the wrist, we make it more triangular.

Wrist Examination Procedure

    It all begins with examining the wrist.

    My bangle-making process is not merely about taking measurements. It begins with a process akin to quietly listening to the unique individuality of each person's wrist. I don't use measuring tape or rulers. I feel it with my palm. I personally touch your wrist to assess the size and bone structure, observing the circumference, thickness, bone prominence (ulnar styloid process), and tendon movement. I interpret the invisible "individuality of your wrist" through experience and intuition.

    Adjustments in 1mm increments

    A quiet process of shaping with a wooden mallet. Based on this diagnosis, we manually adjust the inner curve of the bangle using a specialized sample. Using a wooden mallet, and holding it with hand strength, we carefully adjust it millimeter by millimeter. The sample is temporarily softened by heating it to approximately 1000 degrees Celsius, allowing for adjustment (the finished product is hammered and tightened to increase particle cohesion > and delivered with a hard finish).

    For ten minutes, try to return to a "sense of normalcy."

    Once it's on, deliberately take your awareness away from your wrist. Walk around the venue, feel the contents of your bag, or have a cup of tea. After 10 minutes, bring your attention back to your wrist. If you feel any discomfort, please let us know. We will readjust it in 1mm increments. By repeating this process a few times, we will get closer to the "ideal comfort."

    There's no right answer when it comes to comfort.

    Some people find a snug fit comfortable, while others prefer a looser feel. Just like with clothes and shoes, both are "correct." We will fine-tune the fit while adjusting to your preferred sensation.
